I began to dabble in dip making after being inspired by one specific recipe I found in a book. I have fond memories of eating my mom's DELICIOUS dill dip with a blue box of Mr. Salty pretzels--like it was yesterday. The recipe was for dill dip, and it had one ingredient--beau monde seasoning. I remembered that taste well. I had to make it! It was good, but I wanted it to be great! I changed the proportions and added to it until it tasted like what I remembered. I guess you could say that was my start--leading to much more experimentation over the years...
It has been a long, but lovely journey. Family and friends were my first taste testers, and what began as a hobby of sorts grew into a small business.
Seven years ago, Sarah Beth's Homemade Dips, LLC was formed, making it possible for us to branch out and meet new customers. We currently have a wide variety of mixes and rubs, from savory to sweet--and I am always experimenting with new recipes.
My husband and I take pride in remaining a small, local business, with ORIGINAL recipes, doing everything ourselves from start to finish. The "HOMEMADE" in Sarah Beth's Homemade Dips, LLC comes from the fact that each mix or rub recipe originates at home, where we take time to make sure that each recipe has just the right blend of spices, before bringing it to our customers. We don't buy our mixes prepackaged, or in bulk bags to portion and package, from a wholesaler and then call them our own.
With that said, comes a lot of hard work--BUT we are fortunate to see that hard work pay off first-hand in the smiling faces and kind words of our new and repeat customers. We cannot thank our customers enough for the support they give our little "Mom and Pop" business! We will forever remain Sarah Beth's HOMEMADE dips--giving customers our very best!
Sarah Beth's Homemade Dips, LLC is licensed with the local health department, and we package our products in our kitchen in Hanna City, Il, where we follow strict guidelines to ensure food safety.
We currently sell at farmer's markets, various seasonal shows and markets, and at several retail locations in the area. You can also feel free to CONTACT US to place an order for delivery (buyer pays shipping) or pick-up (by appointment).
We also have a retail storefront opening in Hanna City, IL in the spring of 2025.
