Ingredients

  • 6–8 chicken thighs, boneless or bone-in

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup

  • ¾ cup chicken broth

  • 1 packet Sarah Beth’s Homemade Dips Oniony Chive Dip Mix

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)

  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for creamier gravy)

Preparation

  1. Season both sides of the chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. No additional salt is needed yet.

  2. Place sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot. Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs on top.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, Oniony Chive Dip Mix, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and optional thyme.

  4. Pour evenly over the chicken.

  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2½–3 hours. Note: Bone-in thighs may need additional cooking time.

  6. To make extra creamy, during the final 20–30 minutes, stir ½ cup sour cream into the gravy until smooth.

  7. Taste the gravy and adjust with black pepper or a little seasoned salt if needed.

  8. Make sure to spoon plenty of gravy over the chicken when serving.
