Timmy's Butt Rub: Sweet & Savory Little Smokies

For all of our Timmy's Butt Rub fans out there---a MUST TRY new recipe! Perfect for NEW YEAR'S EVE--or day, or the day after, or next week, or anytime...



INGREDIENTS:

Sarah Beth's Homemade Dips Timmy's Butt Rub: Not Just for Butts!

14 oz Hillshire Farms Little Smokies

1 lb bacon

brown sugar

shallow baking dish (9 x 12)

toothpicks



DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut pound of bacon into thirds (do not pull apart before cutting).  
  3. Wrap each Little Smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place in baking dish. Smokies will make one layer in a 9 x 12 baking dish.
  5. Liberally shake Timmy's Butt Rub on to smokies.
  6. Generously sprinkle on a layer of brown sugar, and sprinkle again with a bit of rub for good measure! 
  7. Bake for approximately 25 minutes and turn. Continue baking for approximately 20 more minutes until bacon is cooked and sugar becomes sticky in pan. 
  8. Serve right from baking dish, or remove to a platter and flip over so the glistening sugar side faces up. Mmmmmm! Delish!
